Why does the google playstore show that some apps are not compatible?

Google play store checks the board configuration of the device and compares it with the requirements of the app, before showing any app as compatible. If all the requirements are not met then the app is shown as not compatible.

For example, if an app requires a GPS or accelerometer sensor and this sensor does not exist on your device, then the app will be listed as not compatible in the google play store.
